Hello Paul,

I was astonished when had heard you speak on Clyde Lewis’s “Ground Zero” a few weeks ago for the first time and was about falling out of my seat hearing you discuss of the collective psychosis particularly spilling out of this country and all over the globe!

I have for years on my own been studying the culture, philosophies and esoteric spirituality of the far East and more recently Western archetypal psychology of Carl Jung through the work of Joseph Campbell and Caroline Myss. At this moment I am about half way through your book Dispelling Wetiko and I am amazed by your sheer brilliance of how you thoroughly and alchemically elucidate and piece together this diverse knowledge. I am currently living in Portland and would be greatly honored to sometime participate in your Awakening in the Dream group. I am a writer/illustrator/sculptor currently working on my own graphic novel project.

Thanks so much for your work! It’s helping me to transform the areas in my psyche I was before unable to reach. Your profound explanations are helping me understand and to extricate things in me I just didn’t have the internal ability to explain in words for myself. Reading your work has shone the light in the darker areas in myself that has needed it.

Always remember that even the daemonic/predator/incubator force came from your will at some point. Otherwise there can be a negative backlash of giving this principle even more power, and this partial understanding can damage your path.

The challenger is an ally as it helps you to find yourself by limiting and defining you. Then you say “I am not that!”, “This is not all that I am!”, “there must be something else!” etc. Your inner self is not trapped by this daemon, but you appear to be in this incarnated perspective. It is by challenge that we find truth.

Yep, I had some talk therapy in the 90′s and it was very helpful to me. The first thing I said to my therapist was that I want you to listen and I do not want to be “shut up” and I do not want to be abused and negated here, too. Recently after feeling suicidal after traumatic emotional abuse and lies and manipulations of family, employers and the court I didn’t even think to say that. So, you got it the second session was filled with negative labellings of my behavior and personality and what was wrong with me. The conflicts before therapy had centered around dis-empowering and therapy was taking the same path. I walked out. That was Fun! Ajna remarks

My spiritual experience has been amazing as well. Dec, 31, 2012 was when I could breathe for the first time. I have completely lost my identity(ego).I have had dreams of egyptian symbols and amazing life revelations. There is nothing to gain and nothing to lose. I feel love, peace, and a happiness that I have never experienced in my human life before. There is a deep will inside me whispering to be honest,pure, and trustworthy in myself, because that is all there is. Live for the moment, in the moment, live the dream.

Wow, just really great intelligent comment and i like Jung lots anyway……..just found this site and Levy after listening to Ground Zero last night……….i’ve been going through this “persecution” after sticking to my “authentic” self (that’s what I think anyway) against a group of several corporations and my superiors and the court etc and their declamations. To me my experience and our collective experience where I live seems so well-explained in “Are We Possessed” article and sections in that article Collective Psychosis and other sections following that I was reading Priscilla (is that right name?) Hayner’s book UNSPEAKABLE TRUTHS about third world atrocities and relating to the feelings and psych of politically repressed and tortured people and though of less severe (at least in the physical sense) torture this forcing a false persona on me has been plenty destructive.

I have recently been directed to your site. I will take more time to read and explore.
Just want to thank you,
I have again and again considered writing my story of spiritual work, spiritual emergency seen as psychosis, DX Schizophrenic and the derailing of my life for 5 years followed by re entry to mainstream becoming a psychotherapist… coming in under the radar and yet…always “different”
only now coming out of the closet more with my experience in all arenas of life and work. last five years have integrated spirituality into my work
finding a new voice, clarity, transparency and Grace for the journey . Perhaps a way to bring light to the mental health tx darkness and for others to relate as well and to know it is all within the continuum of human experience. Just new navigation needed and yes space in the container.. saw you mention container.. have not read that yet
THank you for telling your story . How blessed you are to have been able to stay with the process and transmute the experience , honoring it all so completely.
I am encouraged.
